It was Easter Sunday and having left home at just after 6 in the morning yesterday ( the doors on the car were frozen shut and the wind screen wipers were frozen too! ) my assistant and i set off to start the intended wedding for 7 A.M. !! Having driven through the country side, miraculously we arrived on time and were greeted by an excited bride.

Quickly we set to work as I knew there was a lot to complete. These people had to be ready for 1.30.

The key to this was planning!

Having started with the hair, I soon had the first bridesmaid completed. As we laughed and joked, It was nice that they commented on how relaxed I was and that it had a positive effect on them!

Before long, I had whipped two sets of rollers in, blow dried the mums hair and was ready to start on the make-up. At that point, the snow was coming thick and fast and was starting to settle!

Having now completed both bridesmaids hair and make-up, every one was absolutely amazed at the transformations they had seen in the girls. I loved my job! It was so great when you got that reaction. Both had beautiful natural looks, incorporating browns, slightly smoky to complement their cappuccino dresses.

It was now down to me to recreate the look that Katherine ( the bride ) had chosen during the trial. This was a beautiful natural wedding look, incorporating Champagne and Gold colours. Katherine had decided to have some false eye lashes to complement the look - which looked fab I thought! With the hair, I added some clip on wefts ( which matched her own colour ) through out the back - adding length and volume. The hair was pulled back, arranging it in a half up, half down style and styled around the unusual head piece that she was wearing. The bride was now finished and ready - looking gorgeous and the only person now left to do was Barbara the mum and finishing her make-up.

Having advised Barbara to perhaps buy some make-up which matched the colours in her outfit, whilst incorporating my own MAC pigment into the look, the final finish was natural, radiant, modern and elegant and truly with in her comfort level.

Well here we were again, another successful job done. I must say, they all looked absolutely great and now all ready to go to their ” White wedding “.
